In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) 2018, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) was part of a press conference organised by Breast Cancer Foundation. Dr. Tan Chuan Chien, Chairman of the SCS BCAM Committee and panelist of the press conference, shared about the funding assistance for mammogram screening that SCS provides at island-wide participating breast screening centres.
To raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of going for regular screening, SCS also distributed FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) Kits and registered participants for Mammogram screenings and Pap smear tests. Other community outreach programs such as the Pink Ribbon Walk were organised to interact with the public and promote the importance of regular breast screening.
